Since November 2013, the Diabetes Foundation has worked in collaboration with the City of Newark- Department of Child and Family Well-Being Health Center, and Dr. Samuel Grossman, PharmD, CDE, to offer free diabetes education classes to the community! Led by knowledgeable and caring healthcare professionals, these monthly seminars will also focus on all aspects of diabetes management and self-care in an effort to improve blood sugar control and improve the daily health of the participants! Sessions are held once a month at the Health Center, and will continue until the end of the year. Registration is currently closed, but stay tuned for information about upcoming programs in Newark and other areas throughout New Jersey!
